UPDATE: Local NAACP Takes Principled Stance

In a surprise move, the local NAACP has come to the defense of fired talk show host Scott Lenihan. Lenihan who was fired last week for inadvertently calling Condoleeza Rice a "coon", has solicited the NAACP to help him get his job back. This situation reminds me of a joke my father told me a few years back. He said, "You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is white (Eminem) and the best golfer is black."(Tiger Woods) At the time, Eminem had won an Oscar for his performance in the movie, "8 Mile". The above scenario is almost as unthinkable as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, publicly aiding a white man who used a racial slur on his radio show.
