Liberals & Political Correctness

Political correctness, according to Wikepedia, is the effort to remove "prejudicial terms from common usage”. This often misguided attempt to not offend individuals based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious persuasion, has its origins in the “progressive” student movement of the 1960’s. These same activists, who are now tenured professors, journalists, entertainers and politicians, have successfully implanted political correctness into the mainstream culture and lexicon. As with most ideas of the left, a sensible concept of respecting diversity has run amok, exposing the hypocrisy and empty rhetoric of those who advocate it.
